Markus LifeNet - MOB RESCUE CRADLE
Markus MOB Rescue Cradles are dual-function recovery systems designed for safe and efficient man overboard (MOB) retrieval in demanding maritime environments. Suitable for tugs, workboats, FRCs, SAR boats, pilot boats, RHIBs, and passenger vessels, these cradles allow for both:
- Self-recovery by a conscious MOB, climbing like a ladder
- Parbuckle lifting of an unconscious MOB in the SOLAS-preferred horizontal position to reduce the risk of injury and cold-water collapse
Each cradle is constructed using high-strength polyester webbing with marine-grade components and is up to 80% lighter than traditional scramble nets. This makes the nets easy to deploy and manage by one to two crew members—even in rough conditions.
Markus MOB rescue cradles are available in lengths from 2 to 4 meters (8.2 to 13.1 ft) and are suitable for vessels with freeboards or fixing lengths up to 2.5 meters (8.2 ft). For safe use, the cradle must extend 1.5–2 meters (5–6.5 ft) into the water.

Fully compliant with SOLAS regulation III/17-1, the Markus MOB Rescue Cradle meets modern safety standards for the retrieval of persons from the water—now applicable to all SOLAS vessels, including commercial vessels carrying more than 12 persons and Fast Rescue Craft (FRCs).
